We are some friends who love electronics and education.
To learn possibilities ProfiLab we like to try full control one old Washing Machine using PC and ProfiLab.
Project start with not clearly final plan, but in short:
1. Remove totally control mechanism and connect all to one I/O board with microcontroller.
2. Board initial connected to PC via RS485 (next step via Bluetooth and why not via TCP/IP...)
3. Add to Washing Machine some additional sensors like temperature sensors, tachometer, remote control …
4. Any more ideas welcome…
Initial equipment:
1. ProfiLab Expert
2. PC Celeron 3.33GHz, 2GB RAM.
3. Washing Machine ‘Ariston Margherita’ (bought from friends who import used technique for 25.00 EUR)
4. USB<>RS485 converter and RS485 I/O board with 8+8 Inputs and 8 relays)
Until now we remove controller, found scheme (not exactly for this model but …) and build simple test PL application.
We will share photos and projects.
Hope this project helps us and people to learn ProfiLab.
