Hello everybody ,
I have used , the TCP version of Pollabs ,and want to use the usb version .
But in Profilab ,I see no example for usb version .
"We have this thing for some time as a pattern. At first glance, we liked this also good. Also a second look rather less. 1.) Unfortunately, the device is a specific version of .NET advance. I myself have used .NET days to install so that the device worked. 2.) The software interface is poorly documented and used a huge overhead. In view of this, we are of this unit do not put your finger. I'm sorry. Alternatives are plentiful.

Since 2009, could we see, the compatibility possible with the new version, Pokeys 56U ?
Or does this hardware will never compatible with profilab.
Thanks for a reply
Pokeys 56U, USB version
Re: Pokeys 56U, USB version
Hello,
is there any reason for use the usb type from the board??? It works very well with the TCP type over Modbus.

Re: Pokeys 56U, USB version
hello, hrathke
Let me explain why ,
Not that I prefer Usb interface to Ethernet interface.
But I want to build a command box with multiple output connector where i could use on differ site, a test box if you prefer.
I destine ethernet pokeys to a definitive insttalation .
And mainly for the power requirement :
Pokeys 56U (USB) require 75 mA from the computer in standby mode
Pokeys 56E (Ethernet ) require an external 5V power which can load about 110 mA ,in standby and about 170 mA in activity
I need to incorporate a power supply with Lipo or Nimh batteries ...
I know it can be a little problem ,but 170 mA for a portable test system without any load ,it's so much.
Here my reason ...
